A New Chapter Begins for CRP Racing

As the 2025 racing season approaches, CRP Racing is set to make a bold move in GT World Challenge America powered by AWS, fielding the No. 27 Mercedes-AMG GT3 in the highly competitive Pro-Am class. What makes this entry particularly exciting is the driver pairing, consisting of two standout competitors from GT America powered by AWS who are joining forces to take on the challenge of top-tier GT3 competition.

Seasoned talent Jason Daskalos and rising star Isaac Sherman will be behind the wheel for CRP Racing, bringing a stellar combination of experience, skill, and raw speed into the upcoming season. Both drivers had remarkable campaigns in 2024, proving their prowess in their respective classes and now looking to flourish together as they enter the GT World Challenge America arena.

With a long history of success on his side, Jason Daskalos enters the 2025 season fresh off a stellar performance in GT America. In 2024, he claimed six victories and secured three additional podium finishes, keeping the title fight alive all the way to the final rounds at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. He narrowly missed out on the SRO3 class championship, finishing third overall, just a mere four points shy of the leader. His heightened experience in GT3 machinery, combined with his tenacity on track, makes him a formidable competitor in the Pro-Am category.

“I’m excited to be racing in GT World Challenge America,” said Jason Daskalos. “This will be a new format of racing compared to previous years I raced with SRO, and that will come with new challenges that we need to work through. The pit stops are going to be a huge change for me and the team, as we now have the added complexity of a driver change, refueling, and tire changes to factor in now. I’m confident that we will rise to the occasion and be competitive.”

“I have previously raced against a lot of these drivers in GT America and have won many times,” he recalled. “The Pro drivers in the field will be our biggest competition, but I have full confidence that Isaac will be able to compete with those Pro drivers and succeed.”

“One of my personal goals is to perform consistently throughout the year,” he detailed. “I want Isaac and I to become comfortable in this series and push hard to do the best we can. As for the team, I want us to all be on the same page and be a cohesive group that performs at a high capacity.”

Sherman is a driver whose rapid ascent in sports car racing has been nothing short of remarkable. It goes without saying that he dominated the field in his debut season in GT America competition. He captured the GT4 class championship with an impressive tally of 13 race wins and two second-place finishes. Out of 16 rounds, he only missed the podium once as a result of a flat tire, further demonstrating his elevated consistency. The 2025 season marks his first full campaign in GT3 machinery, but with his proven ability to adapt quickly and perform under pressure, expectations are high already. He will certainly be one to watch, both for fans and other racers alike.

“I’m very excited about moving up to GT World Challenge America from GT America,” exclaimed Isaac Sherman. “At the beginning of last year, I wouldn’t have thought I would end up in this series so soon. It has been a dream of mine to race a GT3 car in this championship, and it still seems crazy that I’m able to do this!”

“This season is going to be very challenging for me and it holds a lot of first for me as well,” he expressed. “I’m going to be competing as a Pro driver for the first time in this series, and this will be my first experience in a GT3, but I feel we are going to be a very competitive team this year. My goal is to learn the car and to be competitive alongside the other Pro drivers. I’m going to go for the win every race, but I’m ultimately focused on going out there and doing my best.”

The team recently completed a few days of pre-season testing at Sebring International Raceway in preparation for the beginning of the season, and when reflecting on his time behind the wheel, Sherman conveyed that “I’m feeling pretty good right now moving from GT4 to GT3. The car is a beast, it’s so fast and requires a different driving style than what I was previously driving. That being said, the team helped guide me during the short time I had with the car and was able to turn some very competitive times. The biggest learning curve for me was the high-speed corners. The car has so much downforce and I’m not fully used to it, but I’m learning to trust that the car will do what I need it to.”

Although the opening rounds are still a couple more weeks away, the CRP Racing duo are already certain to be one of the most intriguing storylines of the 2025 season. These two are determined to become top contenders in the Pro-Am category, as Daskalos and Sherman aim to translate their past triumphs into podiums and victories in this feature series.
