The 2025 GT World Challenge America powered by AWS is stampeding into the Lone Star State for rounds three and four of what’s already shaping up to be a rip-roarin’ season. Circuit of The Americas, the world-class track deep in the heart of Texas, plays host to a weekend showdown as the championship rolls into Austin with a whole lot of horsepower.
With 36 drivers across 18 cars ready to wrangle the COTA curves, the competition is heating up. The paddock is packed with fierce rivalries and fresh momentum as returning champions lock horns with hungry newcomers. Manufacturer firepower is on full display and the stakes are getting raised.
Serving as a homecoming for SRO America, this year’s event at Circuit of The Americas from April 25th to 27th is shaping up to be the biggest and boldest yet. With over 120 cars across six different series, fans can expect unparalleled racing action at every turn.
In the Global Manufacturers Championship standings, BMW is currently leading the charge with a total of 252 points, followed by an incredibly close battle between Mercedes-AMG and Porsche for second. The former has a total of 196 points, with the latter trailing just two points further behind.
Aston Martin
Racers Edge Motorsports and the Heart of Racing Team both successfully completed the opening rounds of the season with their new Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 EVO machinery, showing great promise in the process. Now as they prepare for another weekend of battle, they’ll be focused on taking another step forward.

BMW
BMW came out swinging and made a bold statement in Sonoma, taking wins and podiums in both the Pro and Pro-Am classes, and will certainly be aiming for the same outcomes at COTA. Random Vandals Racing and Turner Motorsport have established themselves as early frontrunners, and the rest of the field is locked in on their targets.

Chevrolet
The prior rounds came with a few early-season hiccups, but DXDT Racing and Chouest Povoledo Racing are focused on finding consistency and climbing the championship standings. The two entries are bringing additional strength to Chevrolet’s growing presence as they compete in the global manufacturers championship, adding even more intrigue to an already competitive grid.

Ferrari
AF Corse is joining the battle in Austin with their pair of Ferrari 296 GT3s lining up on the grid. Among them are reigning Am class champions Jay Schreibman and Oswaldo Negri, who added more trophies to their collection last time out at Sonoma Raceway as they pursue a full-season effort.

Ford
Dollahite Racing is bringing American muscle to Circuit of The Americas as they continue to familiarize themselves with their brand new Ford Mustang GT3, further building up the hype for what will be the team’s home race.

McLaren
Archangel Motorsports showcased that they have what it takes to be in the fight for podium positions, immediately putting their McLaren 720S GT3 EVO in contention. Although they faced some setbacks in Sonoma, their performance made them ones to watch nonetheless.

Mercedes-AMG
Mercedes-AMG made no secret of their strengths, with multiple entries leaving California with some podium hardware. JMF Motorsports claimed the Pro class win on debut in their first-ever GT3 level race, while Regulator Racing secured a Pro-Am victory of their own. Meanwhile, CRP Racing were challenging towards the top 3, proving that it’s only a matter of time before they step on to the podium themselves.

Porsche
RS1 has already ticked a podium result off their checklist, with the team earning a second-place finish in the Pro class. Now, their ambitions are directed on doing one better. GMG Racing came close on their end in Pro-Am, but Kyle Washington’s string of success in GT America powered by AWS is sure to work in their favor. LAB Motorsport by GT Racing team is aiming to bounce back following a difficult opening weekend.
