LAB Motorsport Set to Tackle SRO GT World Challenge America with All-Canadian Lineup

A new name with a wealth of endurance racing experience, LAB Motorsport, the newly established team of Jean-Frédéric Laberge, is set to make its mark in the 2025 SRO GT World Challenge America season. Laberge will return to the driver’s seat of the #92 Dagobert-backed Porsche 992 GT3, prepared by GT Racing, alongside Toronto-native Kyle Marcelli. The team will be led by Team Principal Éric Côté, bringing years of expertise to the operation.

Montréal-native Jean-Frédéric Laberge is no stranger to endurance racing, having competed in select SRO GT World Challenge America and GT America rounds last season, and clinching a podium on his debut at Road America with Marcelli. Now committing to a full-season campaign, he brings valuable experience to LAB Motorsport as he sets his sights on consistent podium finishes in the Pro-Am class. Joining him is Kyle Marcelli, a proven race winner with extensive success in sports car racing. Together, they will take on the full seven-round GT World Challenge America season, which kicks off at Sonoma Raceway on March 29th and 30th. The California track is a venue where the team recently completed pre-season testing.

“We’ve put in the work over the off-season to ensure we hit the ground running at Sonoma,” said Laberge. “I’m thrilled to be back behind the wheel of the Porsche and to team up with Kyle. We have a strong package, and we’re ready to take on the competition.”

Marcelli echoed the sentiment: I’m excited to return to the SRO GT World Challenge America paddock. The grid this year is shaping up to be quite competitive. As a whole, our team is still young, but individually there is a lot of experience and success. We hope to build on that as we aim to be a championship contender.”

The season will see LAB Motorsport battle across North America’s premier road courses, culminating in the Indianapolis 8 Hour, one of the calendar’s most prestigious endurance events. For the season finale, the team will introduce a third driver to complete the lineup, further strengthening its push for success in the long-distance challenge.

“We’ve assembled a strong team with a proven car and two top-tier Canadian drivers,” added Éric Côté, Team Principal of LAB Motorsport. “The preparation and testing have gone well, and we’re eager to take on the competition in our debut season.”

LAB Motorsport is backed by Dagobert, a key partner in the team’s pursuit of victory. Fans all around the world can tune in on the GT World YouTube channel to catch both races live. Race 1 is set to start at 3:15 PM PT on Saturday, and Race 2 at 3:00 PM PT on Sunday.
